Products and sealing solutions

This production method can be cost-effective and reduce lead times when limited quantities or short delivery times are required.

Seals can also be manufactured to fit non-standard seal grooves.

Reworking damaged seal grooves or surfaces and manufacturing a customized seal instead of replacing expensive components can significantly reduce costs and lead times.

We can machine parts in various materials:

NBR, HNBR, FKM / FPM / Viton, FFKM, AFLAS and EPDM
PTFE, PEEK, PCTFE, POM, PA, PE, PEHD, PU, PUR, TFE, TFE/P and UHMW-PE
Silicone

We can also supply O-ring lubricant, O-ring cord, X-rings / Quad-rings, vulcanized O-rings, spliced O-rings, encapsulated O-rings and O-ring sets.

Back-up rings are available as Parbak back-up rings and machined back-up rings in different materials, including solid (uncut), single-turn scarf-cut and spiral multi-turn designs.

Piston and rod seals

Available in a broad range of sealing profiles to suit the application parameters, including Polypaks / Polyseals, T-seals and S-seals.

Common materials include NBR, HNBR, FKM, Molythane, Polymyte, Nitroxile, ethylene propylene, polyurethane and PTFE.

Wipers and scrapers

Several options are available for open and closed grooves, depending on the application parameters and hardware design.

Common materials include elastomers such as NBR, HNBR and FKM, and thermoplastics such as polyurethane, POM and PEEK.

Bearing strips and wear rings

Common materials include thermoplastics such as PEEK and PTFE filled with bronze or carbon, as well as composite materials.

For three decades, Sub-Drill’s Sub-X™ ring gaskets have been installed in thousands of drilling and production equipment assets worldwide for deep-sea exploration and oil and gas production.

Sub-X™ gaskets are designed for use in H4 Type VX Hydraulic Connectors for production and drilling operations.

Sub-X™ VX, VGX, VX/VT and VGX/VT (VGT) type gaskets have been qualified in compliance with API 6A and API 17D, with Lloyd’s Register third-party NOBO Type Approval Certification.

Other gasket types are offered for BOP and riser applications, including AX and CX types in a range of sizes.

Sub-Drill specializes in emergency subsea gaskets, reactive technical support for field issues, and expedited emergency sealing solutions.
